True is currently producing a full line-up of broadcast and cable programming.
For National Geographic Channel, True is in post-production on Doctors
Without Borders: Life in the Field, a 13-part series narrated by Golden
Globe award-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland. For this program, True
Entertainment was granted exclusive permission to travel to more than
25 countries with the international humanitarian group Doctors Without
Borders to tell their remarkable and dramatic stories. Doctors Without
Borders: Life in the Field will be broadcast in the fall of 2003 on
National Geographic Channel in the U.S. and on Life Network in Canada.
True also recently completed producing two specials for National Geographic
Channel. Called The Geography of Crime and Punishment and The Geography
of Wealth, these hour-long programs will air in March and June of 2003.
Also for National Geographic Channel, True is producing Worlds Apart,
a high-concept reality program in which typical American families swap
places with families from other parts of the world. For the pilot, a
middle-class family of five from New Jersey was sent to live with a
nomadic goat-herding family from the north of Kenya.
For VH1, True is currently in post-production on T/X: 28 Days in Rehab.
This searing 8-part series takes an unprecedented look inside the world
of drug and alcohol rehabilitation by following 8 addicts as they go
through rehab and recovery.
Also for VH1, True Entertainment is in production on RockMed, a series
that follows a team of doctors, nurses and paramedics who spend their
nights providing free medical care at rock concerts throughout the San
Francisco Bay Area.
For TLC, True is currently producing 80 episodes of the number-one rated
series on daytime television, A Baby Story. Now in its sixth season,
the series celebrates the miracle of birth and explores the hopes, dreams,
and fears of impending parenthood. Each half-hour episode follows one
expectant couple through the highs, lows, and comic moments of pregnancy,
labor, and bringing home a baby.
Also for TLC, True Entertainment is going into production on Help Wanted,
a show in which real people compete for real jobs.
As a co-production for TLC and Discovery Canada, True Entertainment
is going into production on Hardhat Derby, a unique construction site
game show in which heavy equipment operators go head-to-head in extreme
machine challenges. The pilot of Hardhat Derby aired last year on TLC
and new episodes are scheduled to air in the fall of 2003.
Also for TLC, True Entertainment is producing a pilot for Online Love
Story, a show that explores the world of Internet dating.
